School-based Mental Health and Consultation
The problem behaviors that are being exhibited today by children and adolescents are more challenging than ever before. Many kids come to school dysregulated, overwhelmed and in need of more psychological help than teachers and school counselors are able to provide. To make matters worse, it is incredibly difficult to find a therapist who specializes in the unique needs of children, and adolescents, and there are definitely not enough after-school counseling spots to go around. Kids are often on waiting lists for months before they can see a therapist, and parents are stressed trying to find care.

School-based Mental Health Services Are the Answer
Contract with Marin Youth Therapy to come to your campus in or near Marin County one or more days each week. You provide the room and refer students, and Marin Youth Therapy takes care of the rest! I bill parents directly for my services and provide superbills they can submit to their insurance for reimbursement. There is no cost to the school for students and their families to receive expert mental health care.
I’m a Former School Counselor with Crisis-response Training
For 13 years I have worked in various roles in educational settings—from preschool to high school—so I understand the complexities of an educational environment. I provide consultation to educators on trauma-informed interventions for challenging behaviors, social-emotional learning programs, as well as crisis response and intervention. I am a member of the Marin Medical Reserve Corp, which deploys crisis response to schools and workplaces across Marin County. As a member of this team, I attend specialized crisis-response training each month. With this extensive experience I can assist your team in coordinating resources, and developing—or even leading—crisis response and intervention efforts. I also create customized in-services for staff. We can discuss some of the challenges your staff is experiencing with their students, and I will present concrete strategies to support their work. I can provide consultation for, and/or lead, reentry meetings when students return to school after a hospitalization or traumatic experience. For more information, contact me and let’s schedule a time to talk.
